Measures against COVID-19
The world and its people are suffering from COVID-19 while still figuring out how to deal with this deadly virus. With the recent introduction of vaccines we are having a little bit of relief but this is not over yet. We all are in this together and together we shall fight.
What to do in general?
- Clean your hand often with soap or alcohol based hand sanitizer.
- Maintain safe distance from any person coughing or sneezing.
- Wear a mask if maintaining social distance is not possible.
- Do not touch your eyes, nose or mouth.
- If you are experiencing fever or problem in breathing then seek medical attention.
What to do if you are experiencing symptoms?
- Do not rush to the clinics or the hospitals right away to get tested because at this point of time these places are the most affected areas. Seek medical attention only when you suffer from serious symptoms.
- Most of the symptoms can be treated at home by taking good care of yourself so if you have mild symptoms but otherwise healthy then treat yourself at home.
- Isolate yourself from other people and pets, wear a mask and maintain distance when you need to see them. Also use a separate bathroom, if possible.
- Eat healthy food, mostly liquid. Drink a lot of water.
What are the symptoms?
Most common symptoms are:
- Fever
- Dry cough
- Lethargy
Less common symptoms are:
- Body aches and pain
- Sore throat
- Diarrhoea
- Headache
- Loss of taste and/or smell
- Skin rashes
- Bluish colouration of finger nails and toes
Serious symptoms are:
- Shortness of breath
- Chest pain
- Loss of speech
